COhatch – Live, Work and Meet in the Community You Love

cohatch2Are you weary and frustrated with the stress of your daily commute? Perhaps you’re tired of meeting clients at coffee shops and you’d prefer a more creative work environment. Or maybe you’re looking for a place to hold a team brainstorming session or host a celebratory luncheon. Allow us to introduce you to COhatch, Worthington’s newest co-working space. Built on the premise that people should not only love what they do, but also where they do it, COhatch provides an inviting, smart place for professionals and entrepreneurs to build their business while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Why Worthington?

Unlike the usual co-working spaces you’d find in a downtown high-rise, COhatch brings the concept closer to home. The idea is that people can work, meet and thrive where they live. We recently spoke with COHatch founder Matt Davis to learn more about how COhatch benefits the local community while introducing folks to all that Worthington has to offer.

“Worthington is an ideal location for COHatch’s business model,” Davis said. “It’s a walkable community filled with independently owned merchants and restaurants that work together to achieve communal success.”

How it Works

If you’re unfamiliar with the idea of co-working, the concept is pretty simple. COhatch provides spaces that range from an open desk to a private office to a large meeting room that folks may rent for personal use. Whether you’re looking for a place to work for the day, you need a home base where you can meet clients, or you want a place to host your company’s holiday party, COhatch has a space for you.

“Our Launch Pad rooms are perfect for any business looking for a creative workspace,” Davis said. “Folks can bring their team in for a planning meeting, enjoy lunch at the many restaurants in downtown Worthington and experience an energizing getaway from the daily routine.”

Unlike a local coffee shop, the company offers much more than free WiFi and $4 lattes. While membership rates vary depending on the amount of access and space, the packages are loaded with perks, such as:

  • A fitness membership
  • A guest reception area
  • High speed WiFi
  • Complimentary coffee
  • Kitchen access
  • Happy hours
  • Use of space for special events
  • Use of lounge and common areas
  • A business address

COhatch Gives Back

COhatch wants to foster an environment that celebrates creativity and collaboration while also benefiting the community at large. The company features “Boost Rooms” that are offered at no cost to qualified social entrepreneurs who are looking to launch ideas that will change their community and the world. If you’ve got a great idea that will help others—and you’re looking for space to make it happen—they want to hear from you.

This September COhatch will officially open its doors at 659 High Street. Visit www.cohatch.com to schedule a tour of the facility and to learn more about becoming a member.
